You have nailed it, "Not mechanic...Great post! You have nailed it, "Not mechanical "playing the notes" practice but "deliberate practice". This is true for everything we do in life. Art, music, writing, how we interact with friends family, how we wash the dishes, how we breath. The Buddhist call it a deliberate awareness of reality. Living in the moment 100%. <br /><br />We live such distracted lives, that often we simply do the bare minimum, but true art, true living demands more. It demands, "deliberate practice".
